Scenic Manatee is an Advisory Committee that works under the guidance of Scenic Florida, the state affiliate of Scenic America.  Founded in 1982, Scenic America is the only national nonprofit that works to preserve and enhance the visual character of America’s roadways, countryside and communities.  Scenic America accomplishes this mission through national, state and local advocacy efforts, outreach and education of the public, media and policymakers, and the support of our state and local affiliates.  Scenic America has 51 state and local chapters and affiliates. Citizens for a Scenic Florida, Inc. was founded as a nonprofit in 1998.
